ACS offers four categories of membership plus a Student Affiliate category:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regular\/Associate Member \u2013 Entitled to member-only subscription rates for ACS journals and a subscription (print and online) to Chemical & Engineering News, individuals must have one of the following: a degree in a chemical science, a certification as a teacher of a chemical science, or relevant work experience. Note: Associate Members (those who have not yet met requirements for full Society membership) cannot hold an elective office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduate Student Member \u2013 A full-time graduate student, majoring in a chemical science or a related academic discipline, shall be entitled to a discount of 50% of the membership dues. Special student subscription prices for most journals are available. Please note: Post Doctoral Work is not eligible for the student discount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Non-Scientist\/Society Affiliate \u2013 Entitled to all Regular Member benefits excluding the ability to vote or hold an elective office. A person who is not eligible to become a member of the Society but whose major vocational effort is directly concerned with the practice of a chemical science may become a Society Affiliate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student Affiliate \u2013 Undergraduate students majoring in or interested in chemistry qualify for membership at substantially discounted dues. Student Affiliates receive special student subscription prices for journals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
